Welcome from Emmanuel Lutheran Church

Pastor Chenault Emmanuel Lutheran Church I want to welcome you to our website.  Emmanuel is located at 1036 West A Street in Moscow, at the corner of A Street and Peterson.  Emmanuel is a Christ-centered, grace-oriented congregation affiliated with the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America.  Our mission and ministry is to share the good news of Jesus Christ with all persons through worship, learning, service and growth.  Emmanuel is a Reconciling in Christ congregation, which means that we consider it part of our mission to welcome persons from all walks of life, regardless of age, faith background, ethnicity, marital status or sexual orientation.  We also see no contradiction between the “great commandment” which calls us to love God completely – with heart and soul and mind and strength—and the privilege we have to serve those in need.

Emmanuel is pleased to offer Christian education on Sundays for all ages at 8:30 A.M., followed by weekly worship at 9:30 with holy communion at every service.  Our worship life is enriched by a strong music program with youth and adult handbell choirs, adult chancel choir, and a blending of traditional and contemporary hymns and songs.  Emmanuel is blessed to have a very fine staff, including choir director Janet McIntosh, longtime organist Dr. Harry Wells, office manager CindyMarie Polley, and preschool staff members Terri Schmidt and Marnie Langworthy.  We are also excited to introduce Audrey Colvin, who is directing youth ministry at Emmanuel.  In addition we are grateful for the countless hours that Emmanuel volunteers put in to make this faith community the “happening place.”

I encourage you to study Emmanuel’s website and discover the exciting opportunities for worship, spiritual growth and service that we sponsor.  If you have any questions or would like to speak with me, please contact the church office at 208 – 882 – 3915.

Bob Chenault, Interim Pastor
